Job summary

The NYC Health Department invites an experienced Emergency Preparedness Data Analytics Coordinator to oversee strategic planning and data-driven decision-making during public health disasters.

You will work closely with Division of Family & Child Health leadership, Bureau leadership and program SMEs to support and coordinate emergency preparedness activities to enable more effective and efficient responses.

Qualifications

• Experience in collecting and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building abilities and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data to understand the scope and implications of emergencies.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of emergency response activities and recommend improvements.
• Create and update emergency response plans based on risk assessments and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and update plans, protocols, and procedures, including trainings for the Division to support public health response functions.
• Enhance processes and systems to bolster staffing depth and create sustainable staffing models for response.
• Identify gaps and implement improvements identified in evaluations of emergency responses.
• Coordinate with OEPR, ICS Coordinators, and COOP to align ICs and COOP functions.
• Participate in emergency response group meetings, planning, exercises, and evaluations.
• Develop and maintain the Schools & Family emergency response group documentation and leadership roster.
