Job summary

DC Health is seeking a Food Policy Data Analyst to support the Food Policy Council by building a data-driven understanding of the District’s food system. The role will establish indicators, data sources, and tools to monitor the system over time and maintain public-facing dashboards tracking metrics across food access, local food economy, and supply chain.

Collaborating with District agencies and community partners, you will ensure data accuracy and accessibility to inform program and policy

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in data analysis, applied research or GIS, preferably with food systems or public health data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Public Health is preferred; Master’s in Public Health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes databases to create program reports and conducts ad hoc analyses; develops performance measures and trends.
• Develops data definitions, data quality requirements, and data models; ensures data quality and supports grant/research reporting.
