Job summary

The HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) within the City of New York seeks an Eligibility Specialist to assess and document eligibility for HASA services across multiple NYC locations. Qualifications

• Complete at least 30 college credits or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 1 year relevant experience.
• Combination of education and experience with substitution rules specified in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment and recertification interviews and document mandated information.
• Determine eligibility for HASA services using automated systems and refer to EVR/Winroo/TADS.
• Prepare budgets to determine benefit amounts when household income changes.
• Review consumer data and enter client information into HASA systems.
• Prepare case write-ups and initiate benefit payments via EPFT according to roll-out dates.
• Prepare TADS to reflect household changes and liaise with courts, landlords, and utilities.
• Evaluate grant eligibility and maintain daily tickler files for required forms.
• Produce daily transmittals for supervisor reports.
