Individuals maintain ongoing eligibility, work with local agencies, and document case reviews. The role requires a valid Ohio driver's license and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Human, Social Services, Education or Sociology desired.
• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business.
• All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Determines eligibility for public assistance programs using information provided by applicants.
• Re-determines eligibility at specified intervals plus as changes are reported by clients and others.
• Secures and evaluates required documentation to determine eligibility.
• Compares income/household data with case records and ensures accuracy.
• Collaborates with eligibility workers and Employment Counselors.
• Supports programs by writing and monitoring contracts, attending meetings, and conducting public relations duties.
• Performs intake data entry, re-applications, changes, and related administrative tasks.
• Provides case management and makes referrals for community services.
• Responds to inquiries from clients, other agencies, and the public.
• Meets with clients for intake and re-application and reports changes.
• Takes PRC applications and issues or denies benefits.
• Handles client complaints and public inquiries; uses computer systems for intake and changes.
• Maintains regular attendance and confidentiality.
• Attends training, performs typing and word processing; may work overtime.
• Other duties as assigned.
