Job summary

Arizona Department of Economic Security in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a Customer Service Representative 3 to interpret and apply policy, assisting customers with programs such as Nutrition Assistance, TANF, and Medical Assistance. This is an in-person, on-site position.

Under minimal supervision, you will resolve inquiries, guide customers through eligibility processes, and support self-service options in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a direct-contact environment.
• Ability to review and enter information in computer systems.
• Ability to guide customers on self-service options.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult customers.
• Flexible to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in a fast-paced face-to-face setting while reviewing and entering information in computer systems.
• Determine steps to follow to resolve inquiries.
• Provide guidance on self-service options to customers.
• Interact with irate or hostile customers professionally.
• Provide case status updates to customers.
• Assist customers in uploading documents to their online accounts.
• Submit changes and information from customers.
• Conduct eligibility-related customer service functions, including research and policy analysis to resolve issues.
• Issue EBT cards following established policy.
