Job summary

Douglas County Government is seeking an Eligibility Case Manager to determine initial and continuing eligibility for Food Assistance, Medicaid, CHP+, Colorado Works, and related programs. You will interview applicants, review documents, and explain program requirements.

You will interface with CBMS and state systems, perform data entry, and prepare reports. A high school diploma and public contact experience are required; higher education or CBMS training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years full-time public contact experience.
• CBMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with applicants and recipients by phone and in-person to determine eligibility.
• Gather, organize and review information regarding eligibility for public assistance programs.
• Explain requirements and appeal rights; assist applicants in completing forms and providing verifications.
• Interface daily with CBMS and state systems for data entry and case processing.
• Maintain client records and perform related calculations and report preparation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
