Douglas County is seeking an Eligibility Case Manager I or II to determine initial and continued eligibility for Food Assistance, Medicaid, CHP+, and other programs. You will interface with state and county systems, interview clients, assess criteria, and inform applicants of benefits and procedures.

The role supports diverse programs and requires accurate data entry in CBMS, with potential advancement to Level II responsibilities. Eligible applicants may have prior public assistance experience.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED; 2 years public contact experience.
• CBMS experience preferred for Level II role.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Aufgaben

• Conduct interviews with applicants and recipients by phone and in person to determine eligibility.
• Gather and review information related to financial and non-financial criteria for program eligibility.
• Explain program requirements and assist applicants with forms and verifications.
• Interface with CBMS and other systems for data entry and case processing.
• Approve or deny applications and inform results within required timeframes.
• Maintain client records and prepare complex correspondence and reports.
• Perform calculations and maintain records; Level II responsibilities apply.
