Job summary

State of Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking a Public Aid Quality Ctrl Reviewer to conduct detailed reviews of case records and call recordings for SNAP compliance and DHS procedures.

The role requires a four-year college degree with behavioral sciences coursework and two years of casework experience; travel and occasional overnight stays may be required to support operations across Illinois.

Qualifications

• Requires 4 years of college with coursework in behavioral sciences.
• Requires 2 years of professional experience in casework.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience administering SNAP or public assistance programs.
• Preferred: experience working with public assistance policies such as SNAP.
• Preferred: interviewing techniques and data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive analytical and investigative reviews of live calls, recorded calls, and electronic case records on State and Federal Assistance cases to determine compliance with SNAP regulations, DHS rules and policies.
• Conducts interviews with public assistance recipients and responsible relatives.
• Analyzes data from reviews and prepares reports with outcomes and recommendations for improvement.
• Reviews and applies Federal and State policies and DHS procedures governing public assistance programs.
• Travels as needed, including overnight stays.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.
