Job summary

Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind - ASDB seeks an ASL interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation across board meetings, trainings, parent conferences and events. The role supports students and staff, with flexibility for night/weekend work and statewide travel within Arizona.

Licensure requirements include an Arizona State Interpreter License (legal preferred) and RID/NAD/BEI certifications. Experience with CART/RTC accessibility services is a plus.

Qualifications

• Arizona State Interpreter License required; legal license preferred or general license.
• RID/NAD/BEI certifications (any variation) accepted.
• Experience interpreting for children and/or adults in paid or voluntary roles.
• Regular participation in professional development to maintain certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpreting services for the Board of Directors, Superintendent, staff and students.
• Interpret across educational meetings, trainings, conferences, events and media.
• Possibly manage CART/RTC and arrange accessibility services as needed.
• Flex scheduling; some travel around Arizona and evenings/weekends may be required.
