Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5+ years of professional ASL interpreting experience in education, medical, community, or legal settings.
• Bachelor’s Degree in ASL, Linguistics, Deaf Studies or related field preferred.
• RID, BEI, or CDI certification or equivalent.
• Fluency in ASL and English; strong cultural awareness.
• Background check required and may involve screenings.
• Willingness to travel for on-site assignments.

Aufgaben

• Provide accurate ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one, group, and virtual/in-person meetings.
• Facilitate communication across education, healthcare, legal, and community services.
• Utilize VRI and other technologies for remote interpretation when required.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals, colleagues, and staff to ensure effective communication.
• Perform other language support tasks as assigned.
