Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking a skilled American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation across education, medical, legal, and community settings. The role emphasizes accessibility, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all assignments.

The interpreter will work with Deaf and hearing individuals, using VRI and in-person services as needed, while maintaining confidentiality and upholding RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Qualifications

• Fluent in ASL and English with strong comprehension and cultural awareness.
• Bachelor’s degree in ASL, Deaf Studies, Linguistics, or related field preferred.
• RID/BEI/CDI certification or equivalent is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL-to-English and English-to-ASL interpretation for one-on-one, group, and virtual or in-person settings.
• Facilitate communication in education, healthcare, legal, and community services.
• Utilize VRI and other tech for remote interpretation when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to RID Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate with Deaf individuals and staff to ensure effective communication.
• Perform other language support tasks as assigned.
