Job summary

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation is seeking a Public Area Supervisor for Big Sky Resort. You will lead Public Area Attendant staff, ensure cleanliness across resort areas, and maintain high standards of guest service and safety.

You will report to the Public Area Manager and supervise daily operations, training, and inspections, while supporting a positive work environment and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• Professional, positive and helpful to fellow employees and guests.
• Able to push and pull up to 50 pounds and lift 25 lbs.
• Able to answer guest questions in a professional manner.
• Strong interpersonal and motivational skills; ability to supervise staff.
• Maintain organized records of cleaning supplies inventory.
• Ensure staff are cleaning and stocking designated building areas.
• Work independently with enthusiasm; multitasking and problem solving.
• Available to work morning, mid, night shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Previous supervisor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor personal appearances and enforce handbook guidelines.
• Monitor efficiency and ensure staff are where they should be to perform duties.
• Monitor breaks for on-duty staff durations.
• Perform daily and nightly inspections.
• Ensure staff respect guests and colleagues at all times.
• Motivate, coach, and retrain staff; focus on guest service.
• Document actions that could lead to counseling.
• Conduct hourly walkthroughs of all public areas.
• Public Attendant duties are the Supervisor’s duties as well.
• Complete any assigned projects.
• Keep guest experience and safety as top priorities.
• Enforce and train for the Boyne Basic L.E.A.D. Values.

Overview

Big Sky Resort is seeking a friendly, detail oriented and efficient Public Area (PA) Supervisor. They will lead by example when interacting with guests around the resort and uphold the high standards of cleanliness expected within the properties. The PA Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, and training the Public Area Attendant staff. The PA team is responsible for the cleanliness and general appearance of the Resort Public Areas including The Huntley Hotel, Yellowstone Conference Center, Exchange, Snow Crest Building and Mountain Village Plaza. Reports to the Public Area Manager.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring personal appearances and enforcing handbook guidelines.
• Monitoring efficiency & making sure employees are where they should be to perform their assigned duties.
• Monitor times and duration of breaks taken by on duty staff.
• Do inspections every day and every night.
• Insist that all public area attendants show respect to all other employee and guests.
• Motivate, coach and retrain employees as necessary. Emphasis is always on guest service.
• Document any action of employees that could result in counseling.
• Expected to do hourly walk through of all public areas.
• Responsible to work with our team. Public Attendant’s duties are Supervisor’s duties as well.
• Responsible for the completion of any projects assigned.
• Primary concern at all times is our guests experience and safety.
• Should enforce and train for the “Boyne Basic L.E.A.D. Values”.
