Job summary

Google’s Public Affairs and Strategic Negotiation teams are seeking a Strategic Negotiator to shape data center initiatives and secure cost-effective infrastructure partnerships across multiple states. You will negotiate deals, manage vendor relationships, and present recommendations to Tech leadership to maximize impact and savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.
• Experience working with public policy teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with technical infrastructure developments.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with government officials, community leaders, and key opinion formers to secure a positive operating environment for our facilities.
• Develop, lead, and execute multi-state public affairs strategies that safeguard the data center life cycle across markets.
• Serve as an ambassador for Google’s priorities, amplifying economic, energy, sustainability, and social contributions to position our presence locally.
• Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive data center market development projects from concept to completion.
• Translate corporate and technical initiatives into tangible local benefits aligned with community priorities.
