Job summary

Google's Strategic Negotiation and Public Affairs teams work behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future—from data centers to networks. As a Strategic Negotiator, you will combine market knowledge with tech industry insight to negotiate cost‑effective solutions, manage vendor relationships, and present deal recommendations to Google’s Tech leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.
• Experience working with public policy teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with technical infrastructure developments.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain critical relationships with government officials, community leaders, and key opinion formers to secure a positive, sustainable, and collaborative operating environment for our facilities.
• Develop, lead, and execute complex, multi-state public affairs strategies and campaigns that proactively safeguard the data center life cycle across both existing and future markets.
• Serve as a key ambassador and advocate for Google’s priorities, amplifying our economic, energy, sustainability, and social contributions to position our presence as a local team for growth and innovation.
• Partner closely with a broad range of internal teams and external stakeholders to drive data center market development projects seamlessly from concept to completion.
• Translate corporate and technical initiatives into tangible, highly visible local benefits that align with and support community priorities.
