Job summary

Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator and Public Affairs Manager to secure infrastructure for its global operations. You will negotiate deals, manage vendor relationships, and present recommendations to Tech leadership, while shaping data center initiatives to align with state priorities.

You will lead cross-functional teams and partner with public policy, energy, and government counterparts to maximize local benefits and growth opportunities for Google's data center footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience negotiating and structuring agreements or leading business development.
• Experience with public policy teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with technical infrastructure developments.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with government officials and community leaders to secure supportive operating environments for facilities.
• Develop and lead multi-state public affairs strategies and campaigns for data center lifecycle across markets.
• Advocate for Google's priorities, highlighting economic, energy, and sustainability contributions to local growth.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive data center market development projects from concept to completion.
• Translate corporate and technical initiatives into tangible local benefits aligned with community priorities.
