Job summary

Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator and Public Affairs Manager to secure infrastructure for its global operations. You will negotiate deals, manage vendor relationships, and present recommendations to Tech leadership, while shaping data center initiatives to align with state priorities.

You will lead cross-functional teams and partner with public policy, energy, and government counterparts to maximize local benefits and growth opportunities for Google's data center footprint.

You'll work with specific project teams on negotiating deals, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting deal recommendations to our Tech leadership. As the Public Affairs Manager, you will be on the front lines of this effort, acting as an advisor who shapes our data center initiatives to align with local and state priorities. You will be a leader, identifying and maximizing partnership opportunities with local institutions to effectively tell the story of Google's commitment and long-term investment.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $150000 - $217000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain critical relationships with government officials, community leaders, and key opinion formers to secure a positive, sustainable, and collaborative operating environment for our facilities.
• Develop, lead, and execute complex, multi-state public affairs strategies and campaigns that proactively safeguard the data center life cycle across both existing and future markets.
• Serve as a key ambassador and advocate for Google's priorities, amplifying our economic, energy, sustainability, and social contributions to position our presence as a local team for growth and innovation.
• Partner closely with a broad range of internal teams and external stakeholders to drive data center market development projects seamlessly from concept to completion.
• Translate corporate and technical initiatives into tangible, highly visible local benefits that align with and support community priorities.
