City of Indianapolis seeks a liaison to state and local government officials and stakeholders to promote DPW programs and initiatives. The role requires discretion with sensitive information and independent judgement when policies are absent.

Reports to the DPW Director and collaborates with management to address infrastructure concerns. The position emphasizes building relationships with Councilors, attending meetings, and delivering reports and briefings to leadership.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of related work experience, including two (2) years of public information/media experience.
• Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain relationships with City-County Councilors and other local and state officials to educate them of and promote DPW programs, services and initiatives.
• Attend Council, DPW Board, community and neighborhood group meetings to promote and educate stakeholders and address concerns.
• Support with DPW Director and management to evaluate and identify solutions to infrastructure concerns.
• Assist in development, review and update of policy and strategic plans for improved service to residents and stakeholders.
• Track, prepare and provide reports, briefs, presentations and correspondence to DPW Director and government representatives.
