Job Summary / Basic Function

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part‑time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Reports to the Division Chair of Communication and Fine Arts
• Teaches speech classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods

College benefits do not accrue with this part‑time position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Speech (Communications) or a master’s degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in speech from a regionally accredited college or university
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met
