Job summary

Brazosport College hires an Adjunct – Psychology Instructor (Pool) to teach psychology at the Lake Jackson campus in a part-time capacity. Classes may use traditional lectures or alternative delivery methods to reach students.

Positions are filled on an as-needed basis, with applications accepted year-round for potential openings during each semester. Qualified applicants may be contacted as openings arise by the Psychology department.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Psychology (or master’s with 18 graduate hours in psychology) from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance value to the institution
• SACS minimum credentials met

Job Summary/Basic Function

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.
Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.
Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of an Master’s Degree in Psychology (Behavioral Sciences) or a master’s degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in psychology from a regionally accredited college or university
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution
• Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met
