BRAZOSPORT COLLEGE is seeking an Adjunct - Humanities Instructor (Pool) for part-time roles. Instructors are selected based on the College's needs, with opportunities to teach Humanities classes through varying instructional methods.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Humanities and will possess strong communication skills. Experience in alternative delivery methods is preferred. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Philosophy, English Literature, Arts, History, or Humanities.
• Exceptional educational qualifications considered.

Job Summary/Basic Function

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College. Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis. Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Humanities
• Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours from any one or a combination of the following areas: Philosophy, English Literature, Arts, History, Classical Studies, and Humanities
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution
• Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met
