Job summary

Brazosport College seeks Adjunct Instructors to teach Developmental English on a part-time basis. Positions are filled as needed each semester and continue to accrue as openings arise.

Pool applicants are considered year-round for part-time teaching, with potential departmental contacts when openings exist. Reports to the Division Chair of Communication and Fine Arts and uses traditional and alternative delivery methods to teach Developmental English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in English or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of thirty (30) hours in English from a regionally accredited college or university
• A Texas Teaching Certificate or a graduate course in Learning Theory; interest in alternative instructional delivery methods
• excellent written and oral communication skills
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution
• Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met

Job Summary / Basic Function

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.

Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.

Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.
