Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant is required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in IL is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days is required (AHA).
• Board exam must be completed on the next available date.
• Continued education related to joint replacement may be mandated by the organization.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows and adjusts the plan of care after consulting with the evaluating therapist.
• Documents per policy and regulatory standards.
• Collaborates with the patient and care team throughout rehabilitation and provides education.
