Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to implement plan of care across patient ages, educate patients/families, and support staff. This role offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities to contribute in a multi-disciplinary rehab team.

The PTA must hold an active license and BLS, with ongoing CE to align with DNV Hip/Knee standards as part of our commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days (AHA).
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.
• Board exam to be completed on next available date.
• DNV Hip and Knee Certification requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy CTSCP67.
• Implements intervention plans per PT plan with functional activities.
• Uses standardized outcome measures to reflect patient progress.
• Completes documentation per regulatory/organizational standards.
• Collaborates with patient and family throughout rehabilitation and provides education.
