Mercy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in our hospital setting. You will assist with evaluating and implementing treatment plans, document progress, and ensure safe, effective therapy under supervision.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Currently licensed in the state of practice or holding a state-authorized temporary permit/license, where applicable.
• Physical Therapist Assistant may be entry-level.
• Health Care Provider Basic Life Support Certification.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Physical Therapist in the provision of physical therapy procedures.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Safety and effective provision of PT procedures as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Address age-specific needs for all patients.
• Treat patients and families with respect and dignity.
• Identify and report any patient safety issue when identified.
• Provide technical direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate the workload in the department as directed.
