Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. This full-time role focuses on supporting residents through rehabilitation, assisting with exercises, mobility, and independence.

You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist, collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams, and educate residents and families about home exercise programs with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• PTA program completion from an accredited program.
• Current PTA certification or license in Florida (or eligible).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with care teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
• Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs.
• Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Provide education and support to residents and families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programs.
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to support care plans.
• Encourage resident participation and independence in daily activities.
