Job summary

Aston Group seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will assist with mobility training, therapeutic exercises, and daily activities under supervision.

Excellent communication with residents, families, and the care team is essential. Prior PTA experience is welcome, but learners are encouraged to apply in a supportive environment that emphasizes safety and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or rehabilitating residents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and other care team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
• Implement individualized therapy treatment plans according to resident needs.
• Monitor resident progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
• Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding therapeutic activities and home exercise programs.
