Job summary

Aston Group is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Full Time role in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). You will support residents’ rehabilitation journeys under supervision, guiding mobility and therapeutic activities with empathy and professionalism.

Ideal candidates have PTA education with Florida licensure or eligibility, strong communication, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current PTA license/certification in the state of Florida.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with elderly residents.
Ability to work collaboratively with PTs, nursing staff and care teams.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assist residents with mobility training, transfers, and strengthening exercises.
Implement individualized therapy treatment plans.
Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately and timely.
Provide education and support to residents and families on activities and home programs.
Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment and proper equipment use.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy teams and interdisciplinary groups to support care plans.
Encourage participation and independence in daily activities.
