Job summary

Bay Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide movement-focused therapies under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. The role aims to improve mobility, independence, and overall function, aligned with individualized care plans.

You will work within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, implement plans, educate patients and families, and document progress to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• PTA program approved by the APTA.
• Current license or eligibility to practice in the state.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to tailor programs for each patient.
• Assist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures as directed.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs under supervision.
• Document patient care and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a safe, respectful and positive environment for patients and team members.
