Job summary

Bay Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will provide PT treatments under a Licensed Physical Therapist, aiming to improve mobility, independence, and functional abilities in residents.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the rehabilitation team, patient education, and adherence to individualized care plans within a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Education: PTA program graduate with licensure or eligibility as required by the state.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team to provide patient-specific programs.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and procedures as directed.
• Educate patients and families on treatment techniques and home programs.
• Document patient care and progress per facility and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a safe, respectful environment for patients and team members.
