August Healthcare is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) PRN to join our rehabilitation team. You will provide skilled therapies under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents regain mobility and independence while delivering safe, compassionate care.

The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, accurate documentation, and teamwork within an interdisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state license, certification, or registration as a PTA, as applicable.
• Knowledge of Medicare, therapy documentation, and reimbursement requirements preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Dependable, compassionate, organized, and patient-focused.
• Commitment to providing safe, high-quality therapeutic care.

Responsabilités

• Provide skilled therapeutic treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and established care plans.
• Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes to the supervising therapist.
• Accurately and timely document treatments, resident progress, and daily charges.
• Maintain established productivity, documentation, and quality standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care conferences, utilization reviews, and care planning activities as assigned.
• Educate residents, families, and nursing staff regarding restorative programs, home exercise programs, and therapeutic activities as directed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized therapy areas and equipment.
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Participate in facility performance improvement and quality initiatives.
• Travel or float between facilities as assigned based on resident and operational needs.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, reimbursement, documentation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, mobility, and quality of life.
