Job summary

Hireology is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will deliver prescribed PT services to residents to improve mobility, strength and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The ideal candidate holds an active Texas PTA license, is in good standing, and has SNF or long-term care experience. Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function.
• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service and relay information to the PT.
• Implement and modify plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with the team.
