Job summary

Synchrony in Lafayette, IN seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under a Physical Therapist's direction, delivering therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting.

The PTA will implement treatment plans, monitor patient responses, document progress, and educate patients and families on exercise techniques. Licensure in PTA and CPR certification are required or preferred, with 0–1 years of experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years
• Licenses: Current PTA licensure or certification, CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising PT.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patient responses and progress.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercise techniques and safety precautions.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
