Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under a Physical Therapist in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting in Lafayette, Indiana. The PTA will help implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, and document progress.

Requirements include an accredited PTA degree and PTA licensure; CPR certification is preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing evaluation, and high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Education: PTA degree from an accredited program.
• Licensure: PTA license required and CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises, manual therapy and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of patients’ responses and progress for supervisor review.
• Provide patients and families with instructions on exercises, safety, and at-home progress.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress with additional observations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
