Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to administer therapeutic interventions under a Physical Therapist. The position emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-focused care, with licensure requirements and CPR certification.

The PTA will implement plans, document progress, and educate patients and families on home exercises. Location is US-IN-Lafayette with benefits including health, dental, vision, and more, after initial onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification.
• Current valid CPR certification, preferred.
• Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, and report findings.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and home progress strategies.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
