Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving and enhancing the patient’s well‑being under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

This home health role requires a Washington license, weekend availability, and reliable transportation. Compensation includes a total cash target plus hourly and per‑visit pay, with comprehensive benefits described in the position details.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of Washington.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws for home care physical therapy and implement plan of care under supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within the scope of practice.
• Function effectively in diverse home environments and with all clients.
