Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, following the established plan of care under PT supervision. You will educate patients and families, document progress, and participate in a comprehensive rehabilitation program.

Role includes therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy, and daily EMR documentation; sign-on bonus and relocation assistance available for eligible

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) credential as required by state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam on next available date and complete continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and evidence after communicating with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education to comply with Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements.
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT and provides therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation and aquatic therapy; completes daily documentation and EMR charging.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates with referring providers.
