The ideal candidate will hold an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy, an active New Jersey PTA license, and a commitment to continuing education.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active New Jersey Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
• Long-term care experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents following the plan of care set by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in evaluations and treatment planning, including short-term and long-term goals.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions covering exercises, gait training, balance, ROM, and other modalities.
• Monitor resident response to therapy and report modifications to the Physical Therapist.
• Assist with resident schedules and coordinate therapy activities with the care team.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques and safe use of equipment.
• Maintain compliant and accurate documentation in NetHealth EMR per CMS regulations.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and professional accountability during all interventions.
