Job summary

Care Connection Rehabilitation Center in Rahway, NJ is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The PTA will support licensed therapists in developing and delivering therapy plans to residents, with a focus on mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Candidates must hold a current, unrestricted New Jersey PTA license and have at least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted New Jersey PTA license.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with safe and effective treatment programs based on resident needs.
• Provide quality therapy services while maintaining resident safety, dignity, and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, organized therapy area.
• Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.
• Properly use PPE when required and report safety hazards promptly.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, therapists, nursing staff, and care team.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
