Tacoma Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Tacoma, WA is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for Full-Time and PRN positions. The PTA provides direct patient care under a licensed Physical Therapist, following established care plans to support resident mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Washington State PTA license.
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain on hire).
• Proficient with clinical documentation and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow established plans of care under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by implementing the PTA’s established plan of care.
• Instruct and assist residents with exercises and functional mobility.
• Observe, document, and report residents’ responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Assist the PT with procedures and tests to ensure safe care delivery.
• Participate in care coordination and interdisciplinary communication.
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic activities to support recovery.
• Complete daily treatment notes for each visit.
• Adhere to infection control, safety policies, and standards of practice.
