Job summary

Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our 5-star rehabilitation team. The PTA provides direct patient care under a licensed Physical Therapist, delivering therapy aligned with established plans of care and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current Washington State PTA license.
• CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Proficient with clinical documentation and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow plans of care under Physical Therapist supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct and assist residents with exercises, gait training, and functional mobility.
• Observe, document, and report residents’ responses to treatment.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with procedures and tests.
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic activities and techniques.
• Complete daily treatment notes and documentation.
