Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Tacoma, WA is hiring Full-Time and PRN Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist and works within established plans of care to improve resident mobility and independence.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited PTA degree and a WA PTA license, with CPR/BLS certification.

Formación

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Washington State Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Proficient with clinical documentation and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow established plans of care and work collaboratively under Physical Therapist supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Instruct and assist residents with active and passive exercises, gait training, mobility, ADLs, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Observe, document, and report residents’ responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Assist the PT with procedures, tests, and complex treatments for safe care delivery.
• Participate in care coordination and interdisciplinary communication regarding resident progress.
• Educate residents and families on therapeutic activities to support functional improvement.
• Complete daily treatment notes and documentation per standards.
• Follow infection control and facility policies and standards.
