Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients across ages in delivering clinical services. You will educate patients and caregivers, follow the plan of care, and document activities in the patient record.

The role includes therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy under PT supervision. Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s Degree and PTA license; BLS is required within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in good standing required or able to obtain in Hawaii.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and evidence after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with the Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education to comply with program requirements as applicable.
• Provides treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation and aquatic therapy as prescribed.
• Completes daily documentation and EMR entries.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress to referring providers.
