Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living at Guilderland in the greater Albany, NY region is seeking an energetic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. This part-time role covers Fri, Sat, and Sun from 7am to 3pm, with shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

You will support residents with daily living activities, monitor medications, and ensure compliance with regulations and PSL policies while providing compassionate elderly care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience working as a nurse serving a senior population.
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly, required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Monitor and assist with medication programs and adherence to physician orders.
• Dispense medication per MAR and report changes in resident condition per policies.

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.

• Assist resident with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care as needed.

• Assist in monitoring medication programs.

• Dispenses medication in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record for all residents.

• Monitor and report any resident changes in condition in accordance with rules and regulations and PSL policies.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Education & Experience:

• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing.

• Minimum of one year of experience working as a nurse serving a senior population

• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly, required.
