Job summary

Stark Security Inc. in Chicago, IL is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer (PT) to protect people and property on a part-time basis.

You will patrol, respond to incidents, complete reports, and provide professional customer service while adhering to post orders, safety policies, and training. The role requires a high school diploma, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a PERC license; pay starts at $18–$19 per hour with uniforms and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and a US citizen.
• Preference for military or law enforcement background.
• Must obtain a PERC license within 30 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
• May never have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor that reflects adversely on the capacity to serve as a security officer.
• Ability to read and interpret laws and orders.
• Strong ability to maintain composure in adverse conditions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• School crossing guard.
• Patrol property to prevent crime and enforce laws and park policies.
• Observe for suspicious activity and report incidents.
• Provide testimony in court when required.
• Prepare reports on arrests, incidents and daily activity.
• Deliver courteous service and resolve issues professionally.
• Follow safety policies and contribute to team safety.
• Participate in ongoing training.
• Follow employee handbook and orders.
• Support diversity in the workplace.
• Perform any other assigned tasks.
