Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, 21+ years old, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a PERC license, FOID, and 230 certificate within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old and a United States Citizen.
• Be able to obtain a PERC license within 30 days of employment.
• Possess a valid FOID.
• Has or can obtain a 230 certificate within 30 days of employment.
• Possess a valid driver's license and can meet the department's insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned property to prevent crime and enforce laws and business policies.
• Prevent, observe, report and act on conditions of crime and danger. Check buildings for security and observe for suspicious activity.
• Provide professional testimony in a court of law and prepare reports related to arrests and incidents.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism under various conditions.
• Follow safety policies and participate in ongoing training.
