Stark Security Inc. is seeking an Armed Security Officer (PT) in Chicago, IL. The role features afternoon/evening hours, a starting hourly pay of $19–$20, uniforms provided, holiday pay, and a retirement program. The position requires a non-exempt status and tasks include patrols, event security, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 21+, and possess FOID and PERC qualifications where applicable. Military or law enforcement background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old and a U.S. citizen.
• Preference for military or law enforcement background.
• Ability to obtain a PERC license within 30 days of employment.
• Possess a valid FOID and a valid driver's license with insurability.
• No felony or disqualifying misdemeanor convictions.
• Ability to apply criminal justice and crime-prevention techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret laws and orders.

Responsibilities

• School crossing guard and athletic event security.
• Patrol property to prevent crime and enforce policies.
• Observe, report and act on suspicious activity; write reports.
• Provide credible testimony in court when needed.
• Deliver professional customer service and problem resolution.
• Follow safety policies and contribute to a safe work environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and organizational procedures.
• Produce timely work within established timelines.
• Support diversity and teamwork in the workplace.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.
