Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this job is to bag items at checkout, put bags into carts, restock returns, retrieve carts from the parking lot, vacuum the front-end, restock coolers, and collect trash.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of the shift.
2. Collect trash, operate the trash compactor.
3. Keep floors and work areas clean, perform hourly clean sweep.
4. Collect, stack, and push carts back to the front-end.
5. Demonstrate good customer service skills.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to use or learn to use equipment and tools required for the job.
• Complete the company’s introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Wear proper clothing and shoes approved for the job.
• Maintain valid licenses, certificates, or permits required for the position.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, walk 45%; sit 0%.
• Max pull static: 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures as per manual and handbook.
