We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands‑on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.
Support a man in the Forest Hill area with activities at home and in the community. Work on skills to increase independence at home and in the community. Attend social groups and clubs, fun and skill based activities including: cooking, movies, exercise, meeting friends, etc.
Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life.
This position is: 20 hours/ week
Monday 10a-4p, Thursday 9a-4p, and Friday 10a-5p
The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.
Some lift and transfer may be required.
Paid training, including CPR/First Aid, and opportunities to obtain Med Tech Certification!
DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:
Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships
Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals.
Benefits include:
Rate of pay *$22/hr.*
* Regular Base rate is $22/hr. There is an additional $1/hr. shift differential for weekend shifts. ($22 +$1=$23/hr.)
