Job summary

Richcroft in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Part Time Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our Support Services program to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with daily living activities, personal care, and community outings.

The role is 24 hours per week, Tue/Thu/Fri 9am-5pm, with CPR/First Aid training provided. Benefits include retirement, paid holidays, vacation, disability plans, mileage reimbursements, and potential to obtain Med Tech Certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record (3 points or less).
• Ability to assist with personal care and daily living activities.

Responsibilities

Rate of Pay $22/hr*

We are seeking a Part Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands‑on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.

Support a man in the Rrosedale area with activities at home and in the community and home. Work on skills to increase independence at home and in the community. Activities include spending time in the community, volunteering, social activities, etc.

Staff should be patient, respectful, trustworthy, and able to encourage and participate in living a fun and fulfilling life.

This position is:

T/TH/Fri 9a-5p

24 hours per week

The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.

Some lift and transfer may be required.

Paid training, including CPR/First Aid, and opportunities to obtain Med Tech Certification!

DSPs assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:

Assisting with participation and exploration of the community

Cultivating and expanding independent living skills

Assisting with the development of meaningful and personal relationships

Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals.

Rate of pay *$22/hr.*

* Regular Base rate is $22/hr. There is an additional $1/hr. shift differential for weekend shifts. ($22 +$1=$23/hr.)
