Job summary

Planet Fitness in Thomasville, NC is hiring a Customer Service Representative to deliver a superior member experience. You will answer phones, greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities while assisting with point-of-sale purchases.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and availability for part-time shifts. Starting pay is $11 per hour with opportunities for increases and shifts-differential pay.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, guests and prospective members.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and follow information scripts.
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases at the point of sale.
• Promote fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to current and new members.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional Judgement Free member experience.

• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point of sale system
• Promote our unique fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to our active members and our new members
• Provide a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Qualifications: Job Requirements:

• Customer service experience
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic computer proficiency

Physical Demands:

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
